It requires a longer journey from Marrakech but provides the classic Sahara experience. Agafay Desert, located just outside Marrakech, is a rocky desert landscape that can be reached in less than an hour. It is ideal for travelers with limited time who want a desert-style experience, luxury camps, and scenic views without the long drive. If you’re looking for authentic Sahara dunes, choose Merzouga; if you’re short on time, Agafay is a convenient alternative.
